Its not that I consciously think, "what was I doing a year ago today?". I think it's just because my internal clock remembers amazing things that I had experienced during this time last year and LONGS to do it again!!
For the past week, I've been having very detailed memories of our trip to Europe exactly one year ago. Last year on my birthday, I flew to Düsseldorf, Germany where Adam was working for a few weeks. He picked me up and we drove straight to Paris for the weekend!
We were there during Bastille day- the French Independence Day.
It was SO FUN walking around and visiting all the major sight-seeing spots of Paris in only 2 days! What a rush!
Then he worked for another week while I toured around Germany. I went to Cologne and Aachen and visited beautiful Cathedrals, shops, and museums.
Next on our list of vacations is to visit is Italy and the Mediterranean.
But not anytime soon with the value of the dollar plunging as it is!
But there are plenty of wonderful spots in the US we haven't yet been to. Next week we are vacationing to the Grand Canyon for the first time!! We are very excited. I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures to share of us riding MULES for two days... so stay tuned!
