born in the USA

Some pictures from our 4th of July weekend…DSC_7591 DSC_7812

We got to march in the Glenview Independence Day Parade alongside our church’s float!

Parade[Thanks for the pic, Lauren!]

We chickened out on the fireworks this year. It was late on a work night after a busy weekend and we weren’t sure how she’d do with the noise… (I know, excuses, excuses) but next year I’m sure we’ll go for it!

celebrating Easter

Lydia’s first Easter was a beautiful sunny day.

We went to “Grandma and Grandpa” R’s house for a delicious meal and a fun egg hunt with her cousins.

And her cute purple Easter basket…

We tried to do a photoshoot with her in it, but she wasn’t feelin it.

Lydia now gives “kisses”-- when you kiss her on the cheek, she opens her mouth really big and moves towards your lips!

With baby Hunter’s arrival quickly approaching, we are spending Christmas and New Years close to home this year :)

Our Christmas present to each other this year is a digital SLR camera!! It’s so cool!! I still need to read the manual to figure everything out. So far, I can turn it on and take an auto focus picture, but that’s about it!!

Adam has figured out quite a bit this last week. Check out some of the cool photos he’s taken:

Mom and Dad drove in from CT to spend the next several weeks out in the midwest visiting their 6 (soon to be 7) grandkids!!

We had a pre-Christmas dinner with Robin, Jon and the kids here on Saturday. It was a fun excuse to get out our fancy china from Grandma Bond :)

Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope you enjoy sweet time with family and friends, but most of all reflect on the most amazing gift ever given: our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

my Valentine

Last Saturday, after working on the bathroom all day, we went out to Graziano's to celebrate Valentine's Day.

We were pleasantly surprised when our pizzas arrived in the shape of hearts! How fun!

Love and pizza.
What a great combination. :)

I love you, Adam! Thanks for my awesome water bottle!!

home for the holidays (in Washington)

We went to Washington to be with Adam's family for Christmas this year!

The night we flew in was their church Christmas concert.
Bekah was so excited for me to meet her best friends at church:

Amy leads the kid's choir and they did an excellent job on all their songs and recitations!

Watch Rebekah show off her excellent Away in a Manger skills:

The adult choir, led by Adam's Dad, did an excellent job as always. They even recruited Adam at the last minute to help out the tenors.

Washington had a beautiful white Christmas this year with 18 inches of snow!! And it was still coming down on Christmas Eve. The evergreens looked gorgeous all covered in snow.

Grandma and most of the Bond Family came over on Christmas Eve for dinner, singing, and presents.

The food was as delicious as it looks. :)

And what would Christmas be without a little wrestling?
Here's 26 yr. old Adam vs. 16 yr. old Cedie.

Amy got some cute slippers from Aaron and Anna.

Rebekah got a guitar... she's still working on proper holding technique ;)

A couple photos by Bekah:

Self-portrait:

One of Rebekah's gifts was a twin size bed that used to be Amy's and several others in the family.

Her first reaction was to jump on it! It was cute.

Bekah and cousin Gillian coloring at Grandma's house:

One of Amy's handmade creations: a bag that holds crayons in individual pockets.

We went to this drive through Christmas lights show in Tacoma. Rebekah really liked it.

We took a day trip to Seattle to go see the Nutcracker Ballet. It was so fun watching Bekah: she was loving every minute of it!

Interesting find in a Seattle Mall: a book vending machine!
